LID Ordinance Stakeholder Meeting on May 5

Dear Clean Water Supporter:
Much has happened since our last LID stakeholder meeting in January. Our City staff has begun working with the City Attorney’s Office on finalizing the language of the Ordinance and we’ve retained Geosyntec Consultants to assist us with the preparation of the LID Technical Handbook.
With work on both fronts moving forward, we will be holding our next meeting on May 5, 1:30 – 3pm at 2714 Media Center Drive (Training Rooms A & B) to once again update our stakeholders on our progress and discuss the draft LID Technical Handbook. A draft of the LID Handbook will be made available through our website on April 28th. If you plan on attending the workshop, please RSVP to LAStormwater@lacity.org.

LID Ordinance Continued to December 14, 2010 Meeting of Energy and the Environment Committee

The proposed Low Impact Development (LID) Ordinance was discussed at the December 7, 2010 meeting of the Los Angeles City Council’s Energy and the Environment Committee. Committee members voted to continue the LID Ordinance to a special meeting of the Energy and the Environment Committee on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. At this meeting, the City’s Chief Legislative Analyst, City Administrative Officer and Bureau of Sanitation will provide staff reports on the ordinance. Public Invited to Prop O COAC Meeting (10/21)

On Wednesday, October 21, the Citizens Oversight Advisory Committee (COAC) will be hosting a Prop O general meeting where they will be discussing Prop O funded projects such as Echo Park Lake’s rehab and the Westchester Stormwater best management practices project.
The public is welcome to attend this open forum meeting and will be given a slot on the agenda to allow for time to share their thoughts and concerns about Prop O related projects (see agenda items listed below).
